OUR COMMITMENT TO GUESTS AND STAFF
The recent outbreak of COVID-19 has had a monumental impact on all of us and has changed the way we live and evidently travel. As restrictions ease and people start to travel and holiday again, we understand that safety and cleanliness will be high on guest experience list. As part of our ongoing commitment to the well-being of our staff and guests we have implemented new practices to ensure guest rooms and common areas at the motel are in line with new covid-safe models of hygiene and cleaning through out the tourism industry.
With COVID-19 being a fast changing situation, the Lookout Cave Underground Motel will continue to revisit our covid-safe plans, cleaning procedures and policies to ensure best practices and necessary measures are being achieved.

The current advice from the Department of Health is that everyone must keep at least 1.5 metres apart from others (outside of their family unit) where possible. In addition, in a given space, there must be 4 square metres of space per person where possible. We have implemented social distancing for guest check in, common & staff work areas.

HAND HYGIENE
Proper and frequent hand washing is vital to help combat the spread of viruses. Our team are reminded that cleanliness starts with this simple act. It’s important for their health and that of our guests. Hand sanitizer will be available at the Front Desk and through out the motel for guest .
A rigorous cleaning, disinfecting and sanitizing procedure has been developed to clean rooms after guests depart and before the next guest arrives, with particular attention paid to high-touch items. Rooms are left 24 hours between guests where possible.

We have increased the frequency of cleaning, disinfecting and sanitizing our public spaces, with a focus on the counter at the front desk and high touch points such as door handles, room keys, motel entrance, lobby, and guest laundry.
In the spaces where our team work we are increasing the frequency of cleaning and focusing on high-touch areas like phones, computers, storage rooms and all staff work areas.
